Jewellery technics

The jewellery is assembled entirely by hand in our workshop in Seine et Marne. Everything that is in direct contact with your skin is carefully selected anti-allergen. Earring hooks and necklace and bracelet clasps are all gold or silver plated on copper. On special request we can install gold hooks or clips.

Our jewels are created by Marisa and set in our own workshop using the so-called “rosary” assembly. Which perfectly highlights each element by a thread tight and turned around each pierced stone, and also ensures the resistance of the jewel. This assembly can also be doubled by a “filetti”, as delicate as an embroidery. With subtlety, the stone, or the pearl, is enhanced with gold or silver, and gains a very special shine. JEWELRY SETTING

The hooks of the earrings and clasps are made of 3 micron gilded copper or solid gilded silver, which earned it the name "vermeil". Siècle also sometimes uses "gold filled" especially for fillets; it is a metal mechanically covered with a 14 carat gold plate. This gold plating is considered to have greater longevity and is recognized as today's best substitute for solid gold; this gold-plated process is of German origin and is currently manufactured most often in the USA, from where we import it.

DECOUPAGE

The papers cut on wood, on copper or under resin, are often embellished with stones or baroque pearls.

 

CERAMIC

Marisa creates a collection of jewellery from hand-modelled ceramic elements. The material creates a beautiful contrast with the light of the stones.

 

CARE

Jewellery does not require any special maintenance. Do not leave in water, twist or bend mounting loops.
