Bowl

This word comes from the English "bowl" and appears at the end of the eighteenth century. Individual container of hemispherical shape, it is the object chosen by those who like to drink "a lot" at breakfast and give unquestionable friendly touch to the table. 

The sad white earthenware bowls of yesteryear are today replaced by ceramic bowls brightly colored or decorated, often table set pieces.
