Material and style
- Decoupage from 17th, 18th or 19th century engravings.
- The engravings are reproduced, cut by hand and applied to the back of a glass base, and appear by transparency.
- The decoration is then enhanced with gold or silver leaf.
- Finally, the glass is lacquered with a background color, then stabilized by numerous layers of varnish.
- Unique pieces and limited series signed on the back by Marisa Osorio Farinha.
- Each decoration can be personalized, reproduced on other formats, modified (for example with silver leaf instead of gold leaf) or completely redesigned from other themes.
SIÈCLE was awarded the Living Heritage Company label in 2008 for this exceptional know-how.
Care
The decoupage technique is perfectly resistant to culinary use since these pieces are used on the glass side.
This technique does not support the dishwasher. Clean with warm soapy water, do not soak. Plan to store them in circles of paper that you slide between each piece, to protect the lacquers.
